SafeCheck® Advanced Food Safety is a training program designed for frontline foodservice workers such as cooks, servers, bus-persons, dishwashers & deli workers. The course covers important food safety & worker safety information. This course is equivalent to BC FoodSafe Level 1.
This is a self-paced online course.
We also offer FoodSafe Level 1 in-class at our eight local campuses. We recommend in-class learning if english is not your first language, or you would prefer hands-on in-person learning with an Instructor who can answer your questions and help you work through the curriculum!

Certificate:
- This course is delivered in partnership with the SafeCheck® Advanced Canadian Food Safety Certification.
- Valid in all Canadian Provinces & Territories for 5 Years from Date of Issue.
- You will receive your printable digital certificate & wallet card after finishing the food handler certification program. An emailed copy of your certificate will be sent within minutes of successful exam completion.

- Our course works on most devices including laptops, desktops, tablets, iPads and newer mobile devices.
- Note that our learning platform does not support computers running the Windows 7 Operating System.
- Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are the recommended web browsers.

- A webcam or front facing camera is required for the exam.
Course Access:
- Your access will be granted within 24 hours of your purchase on business days. Courses purchases on weekends or stat holidays will be processed on the following business day.
- Students will have 30 days from the date of purchase to complete their course and exam.
- Course Access & Extensions. Course access rights are for 30 days. Should an extension be requested a fee equal to the initial payment or a minimum of $30.00 will apply before any extension is issued.
Exam Requirements
- Complete the online exams, at home at any time, immediately after completing the course. This will be done under the supervision of an online proctor.
- Learners will have 60 minutes to complete the exam.
- To complete the exam online you will need a working webcam and microphone. Exams can be completed from any device including tablets and mobile phones.
- Valid Photo ID is required to complete the exam.
- If you fail your exam, you can retake it as often as needed without paying any additional fees as long as you follow all exam proctoring rules. Failing to follow all exam proctoring rules will result in additional exam access charges of $30 per attempt.
