CPR Recert: Keep Your CPR Certification Valid

[/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”custom” el_width=”50″ accent_color=”#e52626″][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1432491809850{padding-top: 2% !important;padding-right: 2% !important;padding-bottom: 2% !important;padding-left: 2% !important;background-color: #f9f9f9 !important;}”][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]

Students who are certified in CPR must take a recertification course at least every three years in order to keep their certification valid. This must be done prior to certification expiring – otherwise the student will have to re-take the introductory course rather than simply taking the four hour re-cert course.

Why Take CPR Recert?

If you are in a profession which requires CPR certification, you must get recertified at least every three years. Even if your job does not require it however, there is good reason to keep your papers up to date.

CPR is a live saving skill, however if done incorrectly it may be ineffective or even cause unnecessary harm. Since it is not a skill that most people practice on a regular basis, it is strongly recommended that students have a refresher course every few years in order to keep their skills sharp. Then, if a real medical emergency happens, they will be confident and competent to perform the techniques correctly.

Another reason to take a recertification is that best practices do change from time to time. If an easier or more effective method is developed, it may become the new accepted standard. Without taking a re-cert course with qualified instructors, most students would remain unaware of any updates in technique.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][photo_box image=”5044″][/photo_box][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space height=”10px”][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1432484052619{padding-top: 2% !important;padding-right: 2% !important;padding-bottom: 2% !important;padding-left: 2% !important;background-color: #f9f9f9 !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][icon_counter icon=”Defaults-file-o” icon_size=”50″ icon_color=”#ffffff” icon_style=”circle” icon_color_bg=”#e52626″ flip_box_style=”advanced” block_title_front=”Prerequisites” block_text_color=”#ffffff” block_front_color=”#183964″ block_desc_back=”A student holding a valid CPR certificate may take this course.
