About the course:
WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Advanced is a comprehensive 70-hour course for workplaces that require Advanced First Aid Attendants as outlined in the OH&S regulations. Participants who attend all 70 hours of instruction and successfully complete both written and practical exams will receive certification that is valid for three years.
What you will learn:
- CPR and AED (CPR A – adult only)
- Patient assessment
- Critical airway & respiratory interventions with C-Spine management, including the use of suction unites,insertion of oral airways, use of oxygen therapy equipment and bag valve mask
- Circulatory interventions and management
- Small wound, soft tissue, and fracture management
- Rapid transport criteria

- Must be physically able to perform all of the First Aid tasks required to complete the learning tasks
- No previous experience is necessary
- Occupational First Aid (OFA) Basic, Level 1, intermediate, or Level 2 are not required to take OFA Level 3
