About the course: 

There are 3 options for Red Cross Recertification courses

  • Standard First aid with CPR/AED Level C (1-Day Recertification)
  • Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C (5.5 – Hour Recertification)
  • CPR/AED Level C (3.5 – Hour Recertification)

What you will learn:

CPR C:

  • The Red Cross
  • Preparing to respond
  • The EMS system
  • Check, Call, Care
  • Airway emergencies
  • Breathing and Circulation emergencies
  • Choking – Adult/Child/Infant
  • CPR – Adults/Child/Infant
  • AED Use

Emergency First Aid:

  • All course material covered in CPR-C
  • Wound Care

Standard First Aid:

  • All course material covered in Emergency First Aid
  • Head and spine injuries
  • Bone, muscle and joint injuries
  • Sudden Medical Emergencies
  • Environmental Emergencies
  • Poisons (includes opioid poisoning)

 Course Duration

  • Standard First aid with CPR/AED Level C (1-Day Recertification)
  • Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C (5.5 – Hour Recertification)
  • CPR/AED Level C (3.5 – Hour Recertification)

Prerequisite

  • Participants must hold a current First Aid Certificate for the Recertification on level they are taking (Before it Expires).  A copy of the certification must be brought to class.
  • Example, if you are registering for the 5.5 hour Emergency First Aid Recertification course you must hold a valid, not expired, Emergency First Aid Certificate
  • Current award must be through a recognized agency such as (Canadian Red Cross, Lifesaving Society, Heart & Stroke of Canada, St. John Ambulance, and Canadian Ski Patrol)

 

Certificate 

  • Valid for 3 years

 

Course Price

  • $100 + GST (Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C Recertification)
  • $70 + GST (Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C Recertification)
  • $50 + GST (CPR/AED Level C Recertification)
